SynchyHome (“the Company”, “we”) is a Saudi business specializing in the study, design and installation of smart home projects and network and internet setup, registered under Commercial Registration No. 7050126437.

This policy applies to our website synchyhome.sa and its forms, to your communications with us, and to our on-site services. Our online store store.synchyhome.sa runs on the Zid platform, whose policy may also apply to purchase and payment data.

02Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to serve you, including:

• Contact details: your name and mobile number, your email if you write to us, and your city or site address when arranging a visit.
• Needs-survey answers: project type, stage and size, requested systems, approximate budget and expected start date.
• Site data during the study: plans and measurements, and photos we take of the site with your permission.
• Technical data: device and browser type and the pages you visit, via cookies.

• Contacting you and arranging the site study.
• Preparing the study and a quotation suited to your project.
• Carrying out the work and providing technical support and warranty services.
• Improving our website and services.
• Complying with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom.
• Sending marketing offers and updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

04Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on your consent, to fulfil your request or our contract with you, to meet a legal obligation, or for a legitimate interest that does not override your rights, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations.

05Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it, only as needed, with:

• Technicians and contractors who work with us on installations, under confidentiality.
• Technical service providers such as hosting, messaging and our store platform.
• Competent government authorities when legally required.

06Smart home systems in your home

During installation we may help you set up accounts on platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa and manufacturers’ apps. These accounts belong to you and are subject to those companies’ policies.

• We do not keep your account passwords after handover, and recommend changing them once the work is complete.
• We do not access camera feeds or recordings except at your request and for technical support.

07Transfers outside the Kingdom

Some data may be processed by cloud service providers outside the Kingdom, in line with the approved regulatory controls for transferring personal data.

08Retention

We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for — such as the project and warranty period — then destroy it or de-identify it, unless the law requires a longer retention period.

09Protecting your data

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, and limit access to those who need it for their work. However, no electronic system is completely secure.

10Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

• Be informed of how your data is collected and used.
• Access your data and obtain a copy of it.
• Request correction or updating of your data.
• Request destruction of your data when it is no longer needed.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at ask@synchyhome.sa and we will respond within the statutory period. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
